Welcome to the project page for the Life on the Edge Project, an interdisciplinary UKRI Futures leaders fellowship based at the University of Bradford (UK) which seeks to undertake innovative archaeological research into the Late Palaeolithic (20,000 to 10,000 years ago) landscapes that were submerged by sea level rise following the end of the last glaciation.

The Life on the Edge project is funded by a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship, running until mid 2027.
The UKRI brings together the seven disciplinary research councils, Research England, which is responsible for supporting research and knowledge exchange at higher education institutions in England, and the UK’s innovation agency, Innovate UK.
